Amazon Favorites- Kid Edition

amazon favorites kids

I’m going to change up the Friday favorites for a few weeks and share my favorite amazon purchases. Because I shop on Amazon frequently, I am breaking them up in different categories. Last week, I shared my favorite home purchases. This week it’s on to kids. These are things that we have purchased from Amazon and LOVE.

Water Magic books // These are similar to the Melissa & Doug water wow books. These also have scent added to them, so they are multi-sensory. These are my favorite for road trips and long waits. They are virtually mess free; the biggest risk is a younger child unscrewing the lid and spilling a little water. They keep our kids quite for HOURS in the car.

Puzzle Pouch // I love that these puzzles have big enough pieces for a toddler to put together. You can easily clean them up and put them back in their zippered pouch– perfect for throwing in your bag! (These are currently in my cart, I haven’t yet purchased them. They come HIGHLY recommended though.)

Trampoline // This is so fun for kids. It does have a weight limit, so make sure your kids aren’t above that. All of my daughters have loved jumping on this thing. It’s a great way to get out energy, and it’s small enough to have inside in the LONG winter months.

Ok to Wake! clock // Our older kids were getting out of bed absurdly early in the morning. It was driving me crazy. I finally bought this clock and told them that they were not to leave there room until it was glowing green. Over time, they started sleeping until the time the light came on. It’s been a sanity saver for sure!

wood table // This table has held up through a lot. It is sturdy and strong. Chloe will still sit at it to play with Harper. It’s sturdy and doesn’t add any more bright colors to a space, which feels like a huge win. I like color, but sometimes my senses need a break!

sticker pad // These are another great thing to take on trips. We also love the faces. These keep kids entertained for so long. They still have a little mess, but nothing too terrible. I love having these on hand in the winter when we get a little stir crazy.

Bath Caddy // This bath caddy was my favorite purchase. I was sick of the crummy solutions to bath toy storage. This allows your bath toys to dry off and drain. Plus, if you have really little ones that take baths together, you can divide the tub in the event of an argument.

headphones // These are our favorite kids headphones. Chloe and Addi do each have a kids kindle that they get for a certain amount of time each day on the weekdays. I don’t want to listen to the obnoxious games, and this is a great solution. They have a sound limit, so your kids can’t hurt their ears. They are so soft and come in a lot of colors.

magnetic toys // This is a favorite toy of our kids by far. They can build whatever their mind imagines. It is so fun to see what they come up with. They are a perfect STEM toy. I love fostering creativity in our kids. The magnets in these are incredibly strong, so they can build really tall towers without them crashing down from the weight.

Best Online Sales

Today is Black Friday. I went out shopping with my mom bright (dark) and early this morning. We found some really awesome deals, that are only available in stores. I have found some fun deals online though, so if you are looking for gift ideas, click away. Shopping from the comfort of your own home is always so much better.

LILY JADE! I think I have declared my love for Lily Jade several times. EVERY bag is on sale. They have some new colors that are available for preorder at the sale price. Goodness, that magnolia green is stunning. Their essentials cases are also only $29. All genuine leather with a smooth red lining inside. These are so amazing and hold a ton. I have the square case in camel and love it. It holds a ton and can even be used as a small clutch for date nights.

Madewell is 25% off, and Nordstrom is price matching. Their items are typically really expensive, but their earrings are super cute and not terribly outrageously priced. I love the simplicity of these tassel drop earrings. These delicate bar & chain earrings are also really fun and simple.

This bra is also my favorite. I have never paid full price for it. Ever. I have found that $20 bras from Target are just really uncomfortable. This one is pretty and so comfortable. It does run small, so size up.  It’s also on Amazon for cheaper in certain combinations.

Tubby Todd is our favorite bath product brand for the kids. It’s so great for the eczema and free from all of the junk you really don’t want to put on your skin. Use the code TUBBYMAMAS2017 for 20% off through midnight.

The kids kindle fire is still less than $70 right now.  We are pairing them with these headphones, which feel really well made.

We got this Melissa & Doug table for Harper two years ago and it is still perfect. WE LOVE IT!! There are a lot of Melissa & Doug deals on amazon today, so check them out!

My FAVORITE hand sanitizer is buy one get one free!! Thieves waterless sanitizer is the bomb and smells like peppermint. 15% off 15mL Tea Tree and Lavender. 15% off 5 mL of sacred sandalwood. 15% off Savvy Minerals line. It’s such a good sale. And, if you want to sign up and get your premium starter kit to receive even more discounts, shoot me an e-mail and I’d be happy to help!

Nickel and Suede will be having their sale tomorrow for Small Business Saturday.

Happy Friday, friends! I am cooped up with sick kids.. STILL.. and feel a little bit like losing my mind. I don’t know what else to try other than burning the house down. Don’t worry– I am afraid of fire and would never go that far. 😉

Speaking of sick kids, this humidifier is the best! It has helped us through many, many rounds of respiratory illnesses.

The Day My Child Lost Her Joy

Love Your Melon is doing BOGO beanies for Superhero day– today only!

I love this skirt. I need to learn to sew better so I can make one like it.

This is a great budget friendly meal. Yum.

My last favorite thing- baby wearing. Or, toddler wearing. I love being hands free for my other sick girls while carrying the fussiest little sick one.

We had some warmer weather today while it was actually dry. We are in for more storms and cool weather this weekend.

Happy Weekend!

Friday Favorites

First, I’m going on a date with my husband tonight. It has been WAY too long.

Addi got a new haircut (sort of pictured above). She never sits still, so I don’t think I’ll get a good picture. It’s so cute though! Her hair got caught in the engine of a leaf blower, so it had to get cut. We are so thankful that she wasn’t hurt. She has been wanting her hair cut short for a while now, so she is really happy.

This stainless steel 360 cup. It is insulated, which is a huge bonus for me, the mom of a dairy-allergy child. (It is $14.99 in stores, so don’t pay more than that on Amazon!)

THIS is just too hilarious. And, maybe I’m terrible for thinking so.

We have a wagon that my parents got us for Easter several years ago. If you have little kids, you need to get one! Radio Flyer made a fold up wagon that is for kids to sit in. Genius.

I want to share my love of Arvo watches again. I bought a watch from them over a year ago. The hour hand on my watch somehow got ahead of the rest, so the time wasn’t accurate. I e-mailed them about it figuring that because I was past warranty, I would be out of luck. They told me to send it back (on them) so that they could repair or replace it. They are out of the watch that I bought, so I get to pick a new one.

I’m intrigued by the “step hem” jean trend. This tutorial by Merrick would be a great way to try it out on an old pair of jeans. (She is by far my favorite fashion blogger, so go check her blog out!)

I love this kitchen reno post.

Saving the bees needs to be a huge priority for all of us! Do you like coffee and avocado? (If not, we can’t be friends) (J/K) This is really intriguing. Has anyone tried it?

Happy Fri-YAY!!

Bathtime Favorites

Bath time was always one of my favorite times with my kids. They loved to play in the tub. Actually, they still love it. Chloe will stay in the bath the longest just playing away.

There are so many bath toys that it is overwhelming. The problem is that many of these have little holes that allow water to get inside. Then, you know what happens. Mold. Mold everywhere. It’s gross and frustrating. So, I am going to share my favorite bath toys (and other supplies) that have been loved by toddlers-6 year olds.

Munchkin Bath Caddy: This is so handy to STORE all of the toys. It sits across the tub, so the water drips out and down the drain. When there are two kids in the tub at once, I put it in the center as a dividing line so that no one hogs the tub. Usually, they like to take a bath alone.

Boon Creatures: These are super fun. They are interchangeable, so your little ones can create different sea creatures.

Boon Stacking boats: Boats in the tub. Enough said.

Boon Pipes: I do not actually own these, so I cannot speak about how well they work. Boon quality is amazing, so I have no doubts. I definitely want to get them for my kids. They look so fun. The water bugs and fishing pole look fun also!

Shae Moisture baby wash: This is my favorite baby wash. A friend recommended it to me and I LOVE it. It smells so good, and is super clean (no harmful ingredients). If you have big kids, their shampoo and conditioner are great as well. I use the baby wash for Harper and as a body wash for the big girls. The big girls use the shampoo and conditioner.

Tubby Todd lotion: I have every cream/lotion that they make. Addi and Harper have eczema, and this is the only thing that has helped keep it away. I have their dream cream, all over ointment, and lotion. It’s all great and smells amazing. As long as I stay on top of it, I only need the lotion daily and use the others to spot treat if it flares. The weather changes typically cause a flare.

Whale Rinser: Rinsing hair.. I hate it. With three girls, I rinse a lot of hair! This whale has been a life saver for the past several years. It forms to your child’s forehead, so there is less chance of getting soapy water in their eyes. I say less chance because my kids always move as soon as I start dumping water.

Bath Mat: I like the stability that this mat offers. The dots are raised a little bit, and help stop your child from slipping even more than a regular bath mat.

Do you have anything that you would add to this list? Have you tried anything from this list? I’d love to hear your opinions!
